Emerging Markets Rise Above 200-Day Average

For the first time in almost nine months, the MSCI Emerging Markets index has managed to close above its 200-day moving average. While this is a mixed event for most indexes and sectors, for emerging markets it has been a good sign, at least in the short- to medium-term.

Over the next month, the index suffered only a single loss, and that one was minor. The risk/reward was impressively positive.
